There are defintitely more 'Villages of The Year' than there are years. Either there is a parallel world in which villages can exist in more than one year at a time, or someone isn't telling us something.
Are the manicured lawns of a 'Village Of The Year' actually a portal into a another dimension where the normal rules (of annual competitions only having one winner a year) do not apply?
